what we do
Abbotsford Gogos are part of an international movement of grandmothers that form the Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign of the Stephen Lewis Foundation. We fundraise in support of African grandmothers who are caring for their grandchildren orphaned by the AIDS epidemic.
The Stephen Lewis Foundation works with community-level organizations in Africa providing care and support to grandmothers, orphaned children, and people living with HIV and AIDS. For more information visit The Stephen Lewis Foundation.
Fundraisers
The Abbotsford Gogos have been together for 11 years. We have had many fundraisers throughout those years- tea parties, World AIDS Day, silent auctions, fashion shows, garage sales, and of course selling our homemade bags and accessories! To continue fundraising during the pandemic we are learning new ways including using technology!
